Outreach The people of St. Christopher’s understand that Christ’s mission imperative sends them into the world. That is evident in the amount of money and labor that members of this parish contribute to many and varied projects. Financially: St. Christopher's is one of the largest donors to many local and international charities and social service agencies. Outreach is a line item in our annual budget. Locally: The people of St. Christopher’s are very active in a number of community civic and outreach programs. These include the following: Bandera City Library Bandera County Christian Fellowship, which sponsors ecumenical worship events and a disaster response organization. Boys and Girls Club Frontier Times Museum Helping Hand, which provides food, medical and other assistance to the needy Silver Sage Senior Citizen Center, which provides various programs that support the senior citizens of Bandera County. Young Life, which is an ecumenical ministry to high school youth. In addition to these activities, individual members are also involved in community activities such as: the volunteer fire departments, school activities, 4-H, Future Farmers of America, and a newly-formed community theatre group. Internationally: Honduras: Several of our members are involved in the drilling of water wells and construction programs in Honduras. The Water Well Program and the Manos De Dios ("Hands of God") are group efforts by many different churches in the Diocese of West Texas. Additionally Manos de Dios offers scholarships to qualified children in Honduras to attend secondary and vocational school. The congregation also supports our companion diocese of Southeastern Mexico through outreach funds.
