News From the Rector

     Welcome to St. Christopher's!  At our recent Annual Parish Meeting we

we voted to change the service times. New Sunday Service times are 8:30 and 10:30

a.m. with Adult Sunday School starting at 9:30. Nursery opens at 9:45.   Please

help us get the message out...and invite a friend.   We are always looking for ways to

make our church more inviting to the community.  Let this website be your guide to all of

the many activities around the parish.  Call the church office for additional details.

Stewardship Report

       Annual Stewardship and Pledge drive concluded with Ingathering Sunday.  The Vestry will

approve the 2012 Budget at its December meeting. The final Budget will be presented at the Annual

Parish Meeting in January.  However, it is not too late to make a pledge to the church! You

may pick up a pledge card in the office.  You may also speak with Fr. Allan at any time to discuss

other options for giving to St. Christopher's. 

   Would you like to do something really loving for St. Christopher's?  Then remember the Church in

your will.  There are  many options available these days, including charitable remainder trusts, that

can be both a benefit to you tax-wise and also benefit this beautiful church for years to come. 

   Simply by speak with your financial advisor or attorney, or call the Rector for more information.

The “HELPING HANDS” Basket

       Many people in our community are having serious problems making ends meet.

We want to do what we can to help.  As part of your weekly offering, please bring canned

goods that we can donate to Helping Hands.  All gifts placed in the basket will be

blessed at the Altar on Sunday morning prior to being collected for Helping Hands.

On behalf of the needy and those who serve them we thank you.

Our Monthly Newsletter is now sent to you electronically

   To help save printing costs and for those who would prefer to receive it in this

manner The Spirit is now being sent to you online.  If we have your email address,

you do not have to sign up to receive the the newsletter by email. You will get it

automatically.   However, if for some reason you did not receive the newsletter

simply call the office and we will make the changes. Don't forget, if you

leave us a message please include your name, telephone number and email

address.  We will be glad to re-send it. 

Of course, if you prefer, you may still receive The Spirit by regular post.  We will

still be happy to mail the newsletter to those of you who do not have e-mail capabilities.
